Creative Mythic Fiction, Poetry, and Images Solicited for The Mythic Circle#46
The Mythic Circle is the creative writing journal of The Mythopoeic Society, an international association of scholars and fans of J. R. R. Tolkien, C. S. Lewis, the Inklings, and fantasy literature with a mythic bent. The journal has been in continuous publication since 1987; it comes out annually in time for the summer conference of the Mythopoeic Society.
We seek contributions from writers, poets, and visual artists. Stories, poems, and images submitted should in some way reflect the mythic tradition valued and extended by the Inklings and should be original works, not previously published. We cannot use works that depend on copyrighted characters or settings ("fan fiction"). We can use works derived from or inspired by myths and folk traditions that are used in original ways. We accept works both from experienced previously-published artists and from first-time aspiring contributors.
