RSVP's Robert and Vineta Colby Scholarly Book PrizeThe Colby Prize is intended to honor original book-length scholarship about Victorian periodicals and newspapers, of the kind that Robert and Vineta Colby themselves produced during their careers. The annual prize is awarded to a book published during the preceding year that most advances our understanding of the nineteenth-century British press. The winner receives a monetary award of up to $2,000 and is invited to speak at the following year’s RSVP conference. Publishers or the reading public may nominate titles. Authors may not nominate their own books. Books can be nominated between 15 November 2023 and 31 January 2024. Nominations can be made here: More information about the Colby Book Prize can be found here:  About RSVP The Research Society for Victorian Periodicals, familiarly known as RSVP, is an interdisciplinary and international association of scholars dedicated to the exploration of the richly diverse world of the 19th-century press, both its magazines and its newspapers.
