Call for Papers
VIRTUAL CONFERENCE
April 17–19, 2024

The American Association of Australasian Literary Studies (AAALS) invites paper proposals for its 2024 Annual Conference, to be held live online via Zoom. Papers addressing any aspect of the literature, film, and/or culture of Australia and Aotearoa/New Zealand are welcome. Proposals from graduate students are encouraged and will be considered for the Wertheim Prize.
Abstracts for paper presentations are accepted and alternate presentation formats can be proposed. Note that the conference schedule will be determined after the deadline.The tentative schedule is 7:00–10:00 p.m. EST (US), which is 9:00 a.m. – noon EST (Aust) the following day. Proposals from scholars in Europe, Asia and Africa are encouraged to apply (schedule to be determined as needed).
Please submit a paper title and 250-word proposal by February 29th, 2024, using this form. All submissions will be acknowledged within 72 hours and acceptances will be issued by February.
Registration is included with 2024 AAALS membership.
Option for $15 daily rate.
