The English Editor of Modern Language Review (https://www.mhra.org.uk/series/MLR), the flagship journal of the Modern Humanities Research Association (https://www.mhra.org.uk), and one of the oldest in its field, invites original and compelling contributions from emerging and established scholars on any aspect or period of Anglophone literature. 

Contributions can take two forms:

• Articles (7000-9000 words)
• Review articles surveying the critical ‘field’ and ‘state of play’ covering several recent, related publications on a topic (negotiable, but c.1500-3000 words)

All contributions should attend to the submission guidelines (https://www.mhra.org.uk/journals/MLR) and conform to the conventions of the MHRA Style Guide (www.mhra.org.uk/style).
