We invite you to submit papers in English for the next 43rd issue of the journal “Świat i Słowo” (World and Word), which we dedicate to the use of corpus linguistics methods for the analysis of various linguistic phenomena occurring in discourse – broadly defined as “language in use” (Brown and Yule 1983). The aim of the volume is to present research that combines corpus linguistics and the analysis of different forms and varieties of discourse. Preference is given to articles presenting the results of original research of an empirical or analytical nature conducted using corpus linguistics tools and techniques to analyse the ways in which language is used in different contexts for communicative purposes. What thus falls under the thematic scope of the volume includes corpus-based, corpusdriven, corpus-assisted, corpus-illustrated/corpus-informed and corpus-induced discourse studies, as well as corpus-based sociolinguistics, corpus pragmatics, corpus stylistics and corpus translation studies.

Manuscripts should be written in clear and understandable English, and submitted via the ICI Publishers Panel editorial system available at: https://editors.publisherspanel.com/ppanel/index?languagepage=en. Additionally, the manuscripts should be sent by email to apalion@ubb.edu.pl or tszczyglowska@ubb.edu.pl.
