Women's & Gender Studies Fall Colloquium
Texas Tech University’s 2024 Women’s & Gender Studies Fall Colloquium, to be held in person in Lubbock, Texas, on October 17, invites research proposals for individual papers or panels on topics relevant to women’s, gender, and sexuality studies in contemporary society.
The colloquium is interdisciplinary. Perspectives from anthropology, art, business, communication, education, economics, film, history, journalism, languages, law, linguistics, literature, medicine, music, philosophy, political science, popular culture, psychology, religion, sociology, and other humanities and social science disciplines are welcome.
Please submit a 300-word abstract describing the original unpublished research you would like to present and discuss at the colloquium. Abstracts should be submitted to https://forms.office.com/r/1iPtUs0Mnm. The deadline for submissions by 5 p.m. CDT on Friday, September 13.
Abstracts will undergo a masked review. Submitters will receive acceptance or rejection notices by the end of the day on Monday, September 23. Participants and presenters will be asked to register for the colloquium by 5 p.m. on Thursday, October 3, to ensure an accurate count for catering purposes.
Please note that the WGS program at Texas Tech University is unable to fund travel and any other expenses incurred by colloquium presenters.
