This event examines Portuguese cultural creativity as a fertile site where the consequences of the 25th of April Revolution are actively celebrated, problematised, questioned and expanded. Bringing together scholars and practitioners from multiple disciplines (film studies, literary theory, art history, geography), the seminar undertakes a close examination of recent debates within the Portuguese cultural field seeking to reexamine the impact of democratisation and decolonisation within and beyond Portugal.
