2025 WOCIA Call for Workshop Proposals
Submission Deadline:Friday, February 19, 2025 at 11:59pm
The Women of Color in the Academy Conference invites proposals for in-person, hybrid, and virtual workshop sessions for the upcoming 9th annual conference, scheduled to take place onFriday, May 2, 2025.The theme for the 2025 conference will be“Diversity & Truth in the Academy: Preserving Courage, Persistence, & Resilience.” Inspired by recent events such as the 2024 election, and right-wing efforts to rollback civil rights, as well as the elimination and challenging of diversity, inclusion, and belonging efforts in higher education, we are interested in receiving proposals for workshops that will engage in some way, shape, or form with this year’s theme. In addition, we are also interested in receiving proposals for workshops on:

Models of and strategies for accessibility and support for marginalized groups in the Academy
