CALL FOR RESEARCH PAPERS (2025-2026)
SOPHIA COLLEGE FOR WOMEN INVITES RESEARCH PAPERS FOR THE FIFTH ISSUE OF SOPHIA LUCID: A PEER REVIEWED MULTIDISCIPLINARY RESEARCH JOURNAL.
Sophia Lucid invites academic research papers from teachers and researchers across universities, colleges and research institutes in India. The fifth issue (Volume V, Issue I) on "The Human Condition: Exploring the Intersections of Health, Wellness and Disease", invites scholars to rethink the existing paradigms, perspectives and compendium of knowledge on this broad area, through the disciplines of humanities, social sciences and natural sciences. An interdisciplinary discussion of ideas and concerns is highly recommended. Apart from research papers, you may also submit book reviews (published between 2023 and 2025) and interviews that are aligned with the theme of this issue. All submissions must be original, contemporary and relevant, in providing a quality contribution to the existing body of knowledge. A list of suggestive areas (but, not limited to) is given below.

GUIDELINES AND REQUIREMENTS
- The papers and abstracts will be peer reviewed and the selected ones will be published in the journal issue for the academic year 2025-26.
- The selection of papers happen at two levels: a) at the level of the submission of the abstracts, b) at the level of the submission of the final papers. The authors of the selected entries will be communicated at both the levels.
- Please email your abstracts pertaining to the theme of the issue to the editor: editorlucid@sophiacollege.edu.in within the deadline.
- The acceptance of the abstract will be communicated to the author(s) and thereafter the author(s) can write the final paper and submit it as per the deadline.
- The author's name in full, designation, name and address of the affiliated university/college/institute, email id and mobile number are to be given along with the submission of the abstract.
- All submissions should be made in Microsoft Word Format.
- The submission must be made by the sole author or the co-author of the paper through their registered email-id. However, in the case of co-authored entries, not more than two authors are permissible.
- The abstracts submitted shall be between 150 to 250 words accompanied by 4 to 5 keywords.
- The papers should be free from plagiarism of any kind, including self-plagiarism. The papers will be run through the Turnitin Originality Checker.
- The paper must be written in English language.
- The final papers submitted shall be in MLA format with footnotes and bibliography.
- The word count of the final paper shall be between 4000 to 5000 words (including footnotes and bibliography).
- The paper should be written in the font: Times New Roman, the font size: 12 and the line spacing: 1.5
- The decision of the peer review committee and the editorial board will be considered final in the selection of papers for publication.
