ABOUT THE CONFERENCE

The conference seeks to explore storytelling across literary traditions, historical epochs and linguistic landscapes. It examines the intersections of narrative with politics, war, memory, gender, disability, science, technology and the environment, foregrounding both canonical and marginalized voices. Engaging with multilingualism, translation and transcreation, the conference investigates how narratives traverse cultural and linguistic boundaries. It also fosters discourse on emerging fields such as digital humanities, Blue Humanities and post humanist studies. Additionally, it addresses innovations in language pedagogy, reflecting on contemporary challenges in English and foreign language acquisition. By furthering interdisciplinary dialogue, the conference advances critical inquiry into the evolving functions of narrative across time and space. The official language of the conference is English; however, we welcome scholarly papers engaging with literary texts in German, Japanese, French, Korean, Chinese, Spanish and Russian with an aim to foster a truly multilingual and cross-cultural discourse.
