The interdisciplinary field of Interactive Digital Narratives (IDNs) combines immersive technologies with the timeless art of storytelling. IDN offers transformative ways to engage audiences, preserve cultural heritage and address social and educational challenges. From branching narratives in video games, to immersive virtual reality experiences and interactive installations, IDNs push the boundaries of how stories can be created and experienced.

This newly-formed symposium invites Master’s and Ph.D students, as well as early career researchers and practitioners to share their visions for the future of Interactive Digital Storytelling. The ARDIN Graduate Research committee recognizes the importance of fostering the ideas of new researchers in our field. We wish to provide a unique opportunity for early-stage researchers to present their most creative and innovative ideas for the discipline they will help to shape in the future. Our hope is that this event will allow for dialogue, growth, and collaboration between both newer and already established researchers in our community.
