The Southeastern Renaissance Conference (SRC) invites submissions for presentation at our 82nd Annual Meeting, which will be hosted by the University of South Carolina-Columbia and held from Friday, September 19 to Saturday, September 20, 2025. 

The organizers will consider papers on any topic related to the Early Modern / Renaissance period.

How to Submit

Please submit your full essay (20-minute reading time maximum, or no more than 2,500 words) to the Paper Submission Module on our website (https://southeasternrenaissance.org/conference/submit-a-paper/). Also, please make sure to include your name and email address in the header of your submission.

Accepted presenters must hold an active membership with SRC, which they can acquire through the membership portal on the website (https://southeasternrenaissance.org/membership/become-memberrenew-membershipdonate/).

Deadline and Response Dates

For consideration for the 2025 Conference, papers must be submitted by July 1, 2025. Those submitting papers for the 2025 Conference will receive a response from the SRC by July 31.

Submission to Renaissance Papers

Work presented at the SRC is eligible to be considered for publication in Renaissance Papers, the journal of the Conference. Articles not accepted for delivery at the meeting may still be considered for publication in the journal.
