About the Journal

Interdisciplinary Foreign Studies (IFS) is a professional academic journal  established in 2024 by the College of Foreign Languages at China Three Gorges University. As the only  scholarly  publication  in China  dedicated  exclusively  to  interdisciplinary research in foreign language (other than Chinese) and literary studies,IFS respondsto the national initiative of "New Liberal Arts" and aims to further promote cross-disciplinary developments in foreign language studies in the new era.

 Published by China Foreign Languages Press, a leading national-level publisher, and supported by an editorial board of renowned experts, IFS is issued biannually and is fully indexed by CNKI (China National Knowledge Infrastructure).

Scope and Topics

IFS invites original, unpublished research papers closely aligned with the following sections: Interdisciplinary Studies on Languages; Interdisciplinary Literary Studies; Translation Studies; Second  Language Teaching and Acquisition; Cultural Communication and International Studies. In addition to research articles, the journal occasionally features academic interviews and review essays.

Submission Guidelines

● Manuscripts should be in English or Chinese and in MLA style at a length of around 8000 words.

● Submissions must be original and relevant to the journal's thematic areas.

● All manuscripts undergo a double-blind peer-review process.

● A competitive remuneration is offered for high-quality contributions.

● No article processing charges(APCs)or submission fees are required.

● Authors of accepted papers will receive two complimentary copies of the issue in which their work appears.
