Call for Papers:
We invite papers that focus on the narrative form and function of different media such as literature, film, new media, AR/VR experiences and games. The conference aims to create new theoretical frameworks to understand narrative, to apply narratological perspectives in new areas, and to enable inter-disciplinary dialogue between scholars and practitioners. To this end, we invite papers on the thrust areas listed below:
- Narratives Beyond the Human: Animal, Object, and Planetary Perspectives
- Autobiographical and Personal Narratives
- Narrative in Popular Culture: Movies, Series, and Comics
- Storytelling in the Age of AI, Algorithms, and Automation
- Reader Interactivity and Procedural Narration in Games and Virtual Environments
- Transmedial and Multimodal Storytelling
- Storytelling as an Affective Technology — From Literature to Digital Media
- Empathy, Catharsis, and Affective Ethics in Narration
- Comparative Narratology and Translation of Narratives
- Feminist and Postcolonial Approaches to Narrative
- Stories That Teach: Narrative as a Pedagogical Tool in ELT
- Digital Storytelling as a Multimodal Approach to ELT
- Narrative-Based Learning in Virtual, Augmented, or Gamified Environments
Publication:
- All papers accepted for the conference will be published as an Edited Volume in both print and open-access e-book format with ISBN number.

Abstract Submission Guidelines:
- Abstract length: 250–300 words
- Abstracts should include: Title of paper, Author name(s), institutional affiliation(s) and a 50-word author bio
- Submission format: MS Word (.docx) or PDF (.pdf)

Full Paper Guidelines:
- Length: 2,500 - 3,000 words (including Works Cited)
- Style: MLA Handbook, 9th edition
- Formatting:
- Font: Times New Roman, 12 pt
- Spacing: Double-spaced throughout (including block quotations and Works Cited)
- Margins: 1 inch on all sides
- Indent the first line of each paragraph by 0.5 inch
- Page numbers in the upper right-hand corner
- Structure:
- Title page with paper title, author’s name, affiliation, and Email
- Abstract (150 words) and 5 keywords on a separate page
- In-text citations and Works Cited list must follow MLA 9th edition conventions
- File type: Microsoft Word (.docx)
- All papers will be screened for plagiarism.
- Usage of AI tool for any purpose in the preparation of the paper including grammar-check and formatting should be disclosed.
- Authors are fully responsible for the paper that they have submitted.
Registration Fee: Rs. 1000. Lunch and refreshments will be provided. Authors will receive a free e-book version of their published work with ISBN number. However, if they wish to obtain physical (print) copies, these will be made available upon request at an additional cost to cover printing and shipping expenses.
