2026 International Network of Museums for Peace (INMP) Conference
Greetings from the Canadian Museum for Human Rights!
The 2026 International Network of Museums for Peace (INMP) Conference is being held at the Canadian Museum for Human Rights (CMHR) in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada on August 12-16, 2026.
As storytellers, museum workers, knowledge workers and people working towards the advance and pursuit of truth and reconciliation and transitional justice—particularly in such difficult times around the world—it is as timely as ever to come together and share our insights, our truths and a commitment to justice, especially through the mediums of storytelling and cultural heritage. We know you are pioneers in this work and with this commitment in mind, we want you to be part of this process.
In addition to attending and sharing information about this conference in your networks, we also want you to consider submitting a proposal to participate in the conference. Participation can look like a workshop, a roundtable or a more formal academic paper. Our call for proposals is available in English (https://humanrights.ca/event/peacebuilding-through-truth-and-reconciliat...), French (https://droitsdelapersonne.ca/activite/renforcer-la-paix-par-la-verite-e...) and Spanish (https://humanrights.ca/convocatoria-de-propuestas-consolidacion-de-la-pa...), and you are invited to prepare and present your presentations in any of these three languages, as translation and interpretation services will be made available.
Please note that the deadline for submission is November 30, 2025.
You can find a list of potential themes and mediums to help you with your proposals as well as more general information such as conference pricing, registration, schedules, travel and accommodation on our conference webpage: https://humanrights.ca/event/peacebuilding-through-truth-and-reconciliation
Please submit all proposals and address any questions you may have to inmpconference2026@humanrights.ca
