The blog section of Locomotive Magazine is seeking submissions of poems and multimedia media works (including photos, caricatures, short video essays, and short films) that address contemporary issues, including but not limited to:

• Social justice

• Gender

• Class

• Race

• Education

• Children’s pedagogy

• Revolution

We also welcome translated poems from the following regions and languages:

• All African languages

• All Near and Far Eastern languages

• All Latin American languages

Submissions are open until late February. We accept poems and translations on a rolling basis.

We offer the Locomotive Magazine Award for Best Poem/Translation and Best Multimedia Work. Each winner will receive a set of poetry collections or other books by their favorite author, along with the Locomotive Merit trophy.
