Call for Papers - Annual Symposium, University of Cincinnati
The Collectively Reimagining Global Politics Taft Research Group and the University of Cincinnati School of Public and International Affairs Graduate Student Association are organizing our Annual Symposium titled "Radical Hope: Reimagining Justice in Insecure and Precarious Times," March 26-27, 2026, at University of Cincinnati.
In a time when authoritarianism is on the rise everywhere, hope may occasionally seem fleeting. However, hope and the potential to envision a more equitable future are essential for survival and at the heart of many political reactions to oppression. The annual symposium invites abstracts to have critical conversations around how these authoritarian conditions and responses to them create both imperatives and opportunities for reimagining international relations, political structures, and human societies, and engage critically with our theme “Radical Hope.”
We are inviting five plenary speakers, who are prominent feminist International Relations (IR) scholars, as well as a public artist, to participate in our free two-day symposium, offering everyone a space for scholarly and creative engagement.
