Call for Expressions of Interest: Book Reviews Editor for The London Journal

The London Journal is seeking expressions of interest for the role of Joint Book Reviews Editor.

This role will cover the period from roughly 1800 to the present, joining Kirstin Barnard, who covers the medieval and early modern periods. The Book Reviews Editors are full members of the Editorial Board.

The London Journal is a multi-disciplinary periodical embracing all aspects of metropolitan society past and present. Members of the Board oversee the peer review process of article submissions in their field, and they are expected to solicit submissions, promote the Journal, and attend (in person or virtually) meetings of the Board, at which policy decisions are made. They should be actively involved in researching and publishing on London topics. Expressions of interest are particularly welcome from groups currently underrepresented in journal publishing. You do not need to be based in the UK.

Expressions of interest, to include a CV and a short statement that outlines your research and publications on London and your qualifications for the role of Book Reviews Editor, should be sent to editor@thelondonjournal.org by 24 March 2026.
