15th International Conference on Language and Literary Studies - Language, Literature, and AI
Dear colleagues,
Faculty of Foreign Languages is pleased to announce two confirmed keynote speakers: Prof. Jozef Štefčik (Bratislava University of Economics and Business) and Prof. Danimir Mandić (Faculty of Education, University of Belgrade).
Our 15th International Conference on Language and Literary Studies will be held on 29 and 30 May 2026. The topic for this edition of our annual conference is
LANGUAGE, LITERATURE, AND ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE
Artificial Intelligence has rapidly reshaped how we communicate, create, and interpret meaning. From machine-mediated interaction and automated translation to AI-generated narratives and algorithm-driven cultural production, new technologies are transforming language practices and literary landscapes. These shifts offer both opportunities and challenges: they raise questions about authorship, creativity, linguistic change, communication ethics, and the role of human imagination in an increasingly automated world.
Within this context, the aim of our conference is to explore the dynamic intersections between linguistic expression, literary creativity, and the evolving presence of artificial intelligence in contemporary culture. To this effect, we invite contributions inspired by but not limited to the following topics and areas of research:
⎯ AI as a mediator of language use and linguistic change
⎯ AI in literary creation, interpretation, and analysis
⎯ Human–machine communication and discourse studies
⎯ Pedagogical applications of AI in language teaching and learning
⎯ AI in media, communication, and cultural studies
⎯ Ethical, social, and philosophical implications of AI in language and literature
⎯ Interdisciplinary and intersectional approaches to AI-related research
⎯ Other (you may propose a topic for a panel session with at least three presenters)
Conference sessions will be held both onsite, at Alfa BK University (Bulevar Maršala Tolbuhina 8, Belgrade), and online, via Google Meet. Conference fee is 50 euros. Payment instructions will be forwarded following the acceptance of your presentation proposal.
Proposals for presentation (up to 15 minutes) can be submitted via the following link: Language, Literature, and Artificial Intelligence / Jezik, književnost i veštačka inteligencija - Google Forms and will be accepted until 15 March 2026.
