The Association for Interdisciplinary Studies (AIS) is pleased to invite proposals for our 48th annual conference. AIS 2026 focuses on the theme of Translational Research and Teaching, exploring interdisciplinary work that bridges the gap between researchers, educators, practitioners, and community partners.
In an era of complex challenges, we seek to highlight how moving ideas into action can strengthen multi- and interdisciplinary work by linking campus-based research to societal impact.

The Association for Interdisciplinary Studies is committed to fostering the next generation of integrative scholars and practitioners. For the 2026 conference, we encourage graduate and undergraduate students to submit proposals that highlight interdisciplinary work and scholarship.
Whether you are presenting a capstone project, preliminary thesis research, or a collaborative community-based study, AIS 2026 provides a supportive professional environment to showcase your interdisciplinary work.
Competitive Travel Grants: To support the participation of emerging scholars, AIS 2026 is pleased to offer competitive funding for student presenters. Awards are designed to offset the cost of lodging and expenses.
How to Apply: Students should indicate their interest in funding during the abstract submission process. Successful applicants will be notified alongside their proposal acceptance. Priority is given to first-time presenters and research that demonstrates interdisciplinary approaches.
