CALL FOR PAPERS

The Seminar on Theory and Historiography of Gender Studies of the Facultad de Estudios Superiores Acatlán (FES Acatlán-UNAM) proposes a space for reflection and discussion on new perspectives in women’s and gender studies within their diverse historical and social contexts. In this regard, we invite researchers from the social sciences and humanities to submit papers with a gender perspective (faculty members, researchers, and students currently working on their theses).

• Methodology of gender studies

• Theory and methodology of feminisms

• Sex, body, and sexuality

• Sex-gender diversity

• Femininities and masculinities

• Intersectionalities

• Decoloniality

• Gender and education

• Gender and work

• Violence

• Gender and public policy

• Gender, science, and technology

Proposals will be accepted until July 15, 2026, in Spanish and English and may be presented either in person or via the Zoom platform.

A paper abstract of no more than 350 words must be submitted, along with the paper title, author’s name, and institutional affiliation.

All abstracts must be sent to estudiosdegeneroacatlan@gmail.com and will be reviewed by the event coordinators: Dr. Sofía Crespo Reyes and Dr. Paulina Pezzat Sánchez.
