Proposals for edited book on 21st cent. Women Poets and Resistance

We –a group of scholars and poets– are assembling a collective book on 21st century Women's Poetries, which will be submitted as an edited collection for one of the series at Palgrave Macmillan. Two of our contributors fell down and we are trying to find a couple of good proposals which can be a good fit and complete our collection.

Our volume focuses on women's poetries and resistance widely understood. Resistance in its literary aspects (rhetoric, lyric resistance....) as, for example, "against form", and content–wise, we go from resistance to neoliberalism, precarity, heteropatriarchy, lack of freedom and erosion of democracy and so forth.
We expect to have a coherent book focusing on women poets who practice critique and political dissent. A good number of these women poets are black, indigenous, diasporic, others consider themselves activists.

We are looking for abstracts (300 words–with references, please), together with affiliation and short bio, as soon as reasonably possible.
Please, in your abstracts you should briefly address a couple of issues. These are,

a. List the major tenets, major critical approach(es) and summarize the conclusions of your prospective essay.
b. List the connections of your paper to global issues in the large field of women's poetry and send those to us.

Final book chapters should be:

Extension: 8,000 words max (a minimum of 7,000 is needed)
Style: Chicago Author-Date (Chicago B) 17 Ed.

We will be receiving proposals up to July 17, 2026.
