THE SOUTHEASTERN RENAISSANCE CONFERENCE
The Southeastern Renaissance Conference (SRC) invites submissions for presentation at our 83rd Annual Meeting, which will be hosted by the University of Tennessee Knoxville and its Marco Institute, to be held from Friday, October 23 to Saturday, October 24, 2026.
The organizers will consider papers on any topic related to the Early Modern / Renaissance period.
How to Submit
Please submit your full essay (20-minute reading time maximum, or no more than 2,500 words) to the Paper Submission Module on our website (https://southeasternrenaissance.org/conference/submit-a-paper/). Please include your name and email in the submission header, and indicate if you are a graduate student (as there is the potential for additional recognition this year).
Accepted presenters must hold an active membership with SRC, which they can acquire through the membership portal on the website (https://southeasternrenaissance.org/membership/become-memberrenew-member...).
Deadline and Response Dates
For consideration for the 2026 Conference, papers must be submitted by July 1, 2026. Those submitting papers for the 2026 Conference will receive a response from the SRC by July 31.
Submission to Renaissance Papers
Work presented at the SRC is eligible to be considered for publication in Renaissance Papers, the journal of the Conference. Articles not accepted for delivery at the meeting may still be considered for publication in the journal.
