Panel description:

This panel solicits submissions on recent works by African American
novelists and short story writers. The panel aims to stimulate critical
and/or pedagogical discussions of works by recently published authors as
well as recent works by established writers. (The panel functions, in
part, as a continuation of the critical discussions generated at the
2004 and 2005 NEMLA panels on emerging African American authors.)
Successful proposals will discuss works published around or after 1990.

By September 15, 2005, please send your cover letter and 1-2-page
abstract to
