L’Institut International de Recherches et d’Explorations sur les Fous
Littéraires, Hétéroclites, Excentriques, Irréguliers, Outsiders, Tapés,
Assimilés, sans oublier tous les autres… et les Cahiers de l’Institut
organisent conjointement un colloque international sur le thème des Fous
Littéraires, Hétéroclites, Excentriques, Irréguliers, Outsiders, Tapés,
Assimilés, etc.
 
Le colloque aura pour objet d’explorer et d’expliciter les rapports de la
littérature, des arts et de la folie à la création.
Pour indication, les thèmes qu’on souhaiterait voir privilégier sont :
 
*l’Historiographie de la notion de « fou littéraire » avant et après
Charles Nodier (1835)
*l’Etude de cas (imprimés ou manuscrits)
*les points de vue théorique sur la notion (selon une focale littéraire,
esthétique, psychiatrique, psychanalytique, ethnologique, juridique, etc.)
*la linguistique fantastique
*les Journaux publiés par des patients dans les asiles américains.
 
Le colloque se déroulera les 26-27-28 novembre 2009 à l’abbaye des
Prémontrés 54705 Pont-à-Mousson (entre Nancy et Metz), France

Les meilleures contributions seront publiées dans le n°4 des Cahiers de
l’Institut. Elle seront choisies par le Comité de lecture et le Comité
scientifique de la revue.

Call for Papers

Literary Lunatics & creative madnesses
 
 
 
The International Research and Exploration Institute for the Study of
Literary Lunatics, Heteroclites, Eccentrics, Alternatives, Outsiders,
Weirdoes, Assimilated, say nothing of the others... and Les Cahiers de
l’Institut are jointly organizing an international conference on the topic
of Literary Lunatics, Heteroclites, Eccentrics, Alternatives, Outsiders,
Weirdoes, Assimilated, etc.
 
The theme of the conference will be devoted to explore and clarify the
relations between literature, arts, madness and creation.

For indication, the following topics will be considered with special
attention :
 
*On the historiography of the « Literary Lunatics » notion before and after
Charles Nodier (1835)
*Case studies (printed books or manuscripts)
*Theoretical standpoints on the notion (according to several focal points :
literature, aesthetic, psychiatry, ethnology, law, etc.)
*Fantastical linguistics
*Journals edited by insane patients housed in American asylum
 
The conference will be hosted on November 26-27-28, 2009 at the Abbaye des
Prémontrés 54705 Pont-à-Mousson (between Nancy and Metz), France

The Lecture and Scientific Comitees of the journal will choose the best
