The EEBO Introductions Series

This nascent resource seeks to use EEBO’s role as a hub for early
modernists in order to foster communication and co-ordination between
scholars in different departments and institutions. The aim of the Series
is to provide a space for scholars of early modern texts to draw the
attention of their colleagues to texts which they feel are neglected or
which need to be revisited. The first batch of ten Introductions has gone
online and can be viewed at:

http://eebo.chadwyck.com/intros/htxview?
template=basic.htx&content=index.htm

The intros also appear as a link to the relevant texts in a search query.

The initial concentration is intended to be on texts for which no modern
edition is widely available, although the Series is still in its
formative stages, and we welcome your comments and suggestions
(ew303_at_cam.ac.uk). Advanced-stage graduate students and established
scholars are also invited and encouraged to consider contributing an
introduction to the series, and we hope that the series will serve (among
other things) as a space for young scholars to disseminate new ideas and
interests quickly and widely. If you are considering contributing an
introduction, please approach the editors first (ew303_at_cam.ac.uk) in
order to avoid duplication; we will then ‘reserve’ the text for you for a
limited period while you write your piece.
