American Literature Association Conference
May 22-27, 2012 in San Francisco, CA

Hemingway's short stories continue to interest students, teachers, and scholars in new and continually evolving ways. While this panel entertains proposals related to any aspect of Hemingway's short fiction, we are particularly interested in any proposals that may reassess the stories in light of new information supplied from recent scholarship, including the recent publication of The Letters of Ernest Hemingway, Volume I. Proposals might include reassessments of the short stories themselves, pedagogical papers that address teaching Hemingway short stories in the classroom, or papers that address overarching themes or ideas among several of Hemingway's short fictional works.

Please direct your 250 word paper proposal and a brief C.V. to skosiba@troy.edu by December 15th, 2011. Presentations will be limited to 20 minutes.
