Teaching American Literature: A Journal of Theory and Practice
TALTP (http://cpcc.edu/taltp), a peer-reviewed journal, seeks articles aimed toward instructors of American literature courses in 4-year and 2-year universities and colleges. Our goal is to feature practical articles and reviews on best classroom practices, including the use of the Internet and other technology. Articles featuring the use of critical theories in teaching American literature and introducing minor or lost American authors are welcome, as are reviews of new titles that would interest instructors. Our readers seek to more effectively transfer their knowledge of, interest in, and passion for American literature to their students.
First, we are always looking for essays that explore a variety of pedagogical strategies in teaching American literature. Take the time to peruse the journal. Submit your work.
Secondly, at present, we are looking to increase our group of reviewers. If you are interested in reviewing essays for TALTP, please send an email to Patricia Bostian (Patricia.Bostian@cpcc.edu) or Jacob Stratman (email@example.com). Also, send a brief cv, and include a list of authors, genres, or other areas of interest in your expertise.
Thirdly, we will begin publishing book reviews. For our first series, we are interested in reviews (1000-1500 words) that evaluate any of the MLA Approaches to Teaching books on American authors. You can send these to either Patricia or Jacob as well. A complete list is below
