Contributors are sought for a new book on 'A History of Sexual =
Perversion
1650-1850'. We specifically seek articles within the boundaries of =
history of sexuality which examine so-called sexual 'perversions'; this =
might include any sexual behaviour which was considered perverse or =
'abnormal' for its time and would include certain heterosexual, =
homosexual, lesbian, transgender, transvestite etc. practices; and why =
was such behaviour was seen as 'abnormal', 'perverse' or threatening; =
subjects for discussion might be considered include bestiality, =
flagellation, sex with children, fetishes, sado-masochism etc.=20

UPDATE-CFP: Women's Experiences of Justice (10/7/06; collection)
   
  The co-editors of (Re)Interpretations: The Shapes of Justice in Women's Experience, to be published by Cambridge Scholars Press, Ltd. in late 2007, seek scholars interested in contributing a chapter. The book, which will show how women create justice or resist injustice through (re)interpretations of traditional structures, is divided into five sections that represent patriarchal authority and power: Language, Religion, Medicine, War, and Sex Trafficking.

    A seminar for postgraduates studying literature and feminism to present and discuss their research. The day is primarily concerned with examining the relationship between feminism and literature, the implications of labels such as 'feminist' or 'women's writing', and the impact of feminist literary criticism and politics upon literature today. It is the discussion of these themes across the different topics which is important – the day is devised as a discussion of similar concerns across literature. We would also like to encourage students working with poets, dramatists as well as fiction writers.
