The L=A=N=G=U=A=G=E Poets

This call for papers is for a proposed panel to be
held at
(dis)junctions, the University of California
Riverside's 13th
Annual Humanities Graduate Conference on April 7-8,
2006.

Contributors are invited to submit critical works on
the 20th cent. American poets known as L=A-N=G=U=A=G=E
poets. Papers on any writer considered to be a member
of this school are invited, as are pieces exploring
any issue or discussion surrounding L=A=N=G=U=A=G=E
poetry.

Also encouraged are creative works in the unique style
of the L=A=N=G=U=A=G=E poets.

Abstracts of 200-250 words of papers not lasting longer than twenty
minutes in delivery should reach the organisers by our extended deadline

submission by mid January as previously advertised.

Milton, a special session at the annual meeting of the Rocky Mountain
Modern Language Association, October 12-14, 2006, Tuscon, AZ. Papers on any
aspect of Milton are welcome.

You do not have to be a member of RMMLA to propose a paper, but you must

I am soliciting proposals for 20-minute papers on any aspect of English
Seventeenth-Century lyric poetry for a session at the Rocky Mountain Modern
Language Association (RMMLA).

The annual meetings of the RMMLA will take place from October 12 until
October 14, 2006 in Tucson, Arizona.

Please submit abstracts of no more than 300 words either as WORD or RTF
attachments via e-mail or via regular mail. All submissions must be

Call for Papers for the University of Dayton LitFest, February 17 and 18,
2006

You are invited to submit paper or panel proposals for the University of
Dayton’s LitFest, to be held at the University of Dayton, February 17 and
18, 2006. Organized by Department of English graduate students, the UD
LitFest has brought academic and creative submissions together since 2001.
Conference attendees will have the opportunity to attend a reading by
award-winning poet Nikki Giovanni (who is appearing in Dayton as part of a
celebration of the life of Daytonian Paul Laurence Dunbar) as part of the
conference registration fee of $30. Transportation to and from the reading
will be provided.

Essays not exceeding 5,000 words are invited for an anthology exploring Non-Western Christianity and Literature.

The editor is especially interested in essays that show how creative writers (novelists, short fiction writers, poets, etc.) capture the real-lived texture of non-Western Christian belief and behavior. Various methodological and disciplinary approaches are encouraged.
