Call for contributions

« Les Carnets du Cerpac »
Paul Valéry University, Montpellier III (France)

An international colloquium was organized by the Cerpac and held at
Paul Valéry University in April 2003 that focused not only on the
African-American neo-slave novels published in the 1960s but also on
the more recent neo-slave narratives written in the 1980s and 1990s
by, African, African-American and Caribbean writers such as Fred
D'Aguiar, David Dabydeen, Charles Johnson, Caryl Phillips
among others. After the success of the colloquium and its
proceedings (2005), a second volume of papers entitled « Revisiting
Slave
Narratives II » is going to be published to cover some of the many
writers not included in the first. Details of the authors and works
examined in the first volume can be found on the Cerpac website:
http://recherche.univ-montp3.fr/cerpac.
Priority will be given to papers examining new authors. The following

Riboud, Michelle Cliff, J. California Cooper, David Anthony Durham,
Beryl Gilroy, John Hearne, Manu Herbstein, Lawrence Hill, Paule
