Call for Papers
South Atlantic Modern Language Association (SAMLA)

November 9 - 11, 2007

Session: "Queer Stages: Theater, Performativity, and Sexuality"

One-page abstracts are being sought for papers that explore and critique
the various roles that sexualities play (and have played) in American
and international drama. Of particular interest will be papers which
offer unique queer readings of canonical plays, as well as those that
introduce conference participants to lesser-known texts.

This call is purposely "open" in order to encourage a complex and
diverse panel related to the session theme. Those submitting abstracts
will be notified by July 1, 2007. Panelists must join SAMLA in order to
present at the conference; additional information on SAMLA and
membership can be found at their website: http://www.samla.org.
