New in 2008, Adaptation is a fully peer-reviewed journal that provides an
international forum to theorise and interrogate the phenomenon of
literature on screen from both a literary and film studies perspective.
The editors of Adaptation are currently seeking submissions of academic
articles, film and book reviews, including both book to screen adaptation,
screen to book adaptation, popular and ‘classic’ adaptations, theatre and
novel screen adaptations, television, animation, soundtracks, production

Contemporary Women’s Writing is a new journal that critically assesses
writing by women authors who have published approximately from 1970 to the
present. The journal aims to reflect retrospectively on developments
throughout the period, to survey the variety of contemporary work, and to
anticipate the new and provocative in women’s writing.
The editors of CWW welcome submissions relating to theoretical, cultural,
historical, geographical, formalist, and political approaches to
contemporary women’s writing. They are also interested the production and
reception of contemporary women’s writing, in terms of the practices of
individual authors, the creation of cultural and literary fields, and the

"Literature and Music" is the first of a series of graduate conferences,
organized annually by the Department of American Culture and Literature
at Istanbul University. It is part of the "Literature and ..."
conferences, the aim of which is to establish an intellectual platform
for the discussion of literature in relation to other systems of
signification and representation including the cultural, social,
political, historical and so on.

"Literature and Music," the first in the series, aims to explore the ways
