UPDATE: Reading in America Today Encyclopedia: Mystery Novels (no deadline noted; collection)

Dear Colleagues:

There is another chapter available for Reading in America Today: The
Greenwood Encyclopedia of Contemporary Popular American Literature. This
four-volume encyclopedia will include alphabetically arranged chapters on
more than 100 literary genres.

The chapter is on "Mystery Novels," and it will be approximately 12,500
words. Contributors will be paid for their efforts. The chapters will not
be due until February 1st, 2007.

AREA: Errol Morris

Documentary filmmaker Errol Morris is known for winning the 2005 Academy
Award for Best Documentary for The Fog of War; for his 1998 film The Thin
Blue Line, which both resulted in the release of death-row inmate Randall
Adams and introduced the now-familiar dramatic reenactment; and for his
device known as the Interrotron, which allows direct eye contact
(ostensibly) between the subject and the spectator. He is a leading
contemporary practitioner in "the documentary tradition."
